Season Codes

This frame allows you to create and maintain a list of Season Codes. These are optional codes can be used to assist in the reordering of parts and scheduling and forecasting maintenance for units.

Season Codes can be entered on the MCC Main, Activity Codes, Part Main Catalog, and Part Inventory Location Manager frames.

Create

To create a new Season Code, click in the blank code field and type in a new code. This field has a limit of 11 characters. Then enter a description for the code. This field has a limit of 20 characters.

For example: ALL – All Seasons, WINTER – Snow Removal

The next values to enter are the Season Start and Season End dates to define the duration of the Season Code. You only need to enter the month and day.

The Pre Period and Post Period fields are user-determined values to manage before and after period needs like prep work to get vehicles ready for service.

Modify

You can modify an existing code’s information by clicking in the field you want to edit and typing in a new value.

Once the changes have been made, click the Save button. The record will update to reflect the changes. You will not be able to modify the value in the code field once it has been created and saved.

Disable

To disable a Season Code, check the disabled box in the row of the code you want to disable. Click the Save button. The code will no longer be available for use.

Delete

You can delete a Season Code provided it is not in use on any other tables in the system. If the code is in use, you will get an error message when trying to delete.

To delete a code, click in the row of the code you want to delete to make it active. Click the Delete button (Red X) at the top of the frame. The selected row will turn red.

Click the Save button. The row will be removed from the list and will no longer be available for use in the system.
