Fuel Type

The Fuel Type frame allows you to create and maintain the list of fuel types defined by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and other international agencies.

AssetWorks delivers this frame loaded with the default CO2 KGPGAL values as measured by the EPA unless otherwise specified during implementation. The information here is used to support the Carbon Footprint reporting requirements in the M5 System.

Create

To create a new Fuel Type, click in the blank Fuel Type field at the bottom of the list. Enter a new code. This field has a limit of ten characters. Next, enter a description for the new fuel type. This field has a limit of 50 characters.

Enter the value for the CO2 KGPGAL as specified by the EPA. This field is numeric and supports up to four decimal places.

When finished entering the data for the new fuel type, click the Save button at the top of the frame. The new fuel type is now available for use in the system.

Modify

After creating and saving a new fuel type, you can make modifications to both the Description on CO2 KGPGAL fields. When finished making the necessary changes, click the Save button to update the record.

Disable

To disable a fuel type from further use, check the 'Disabled' flag in the row of the fuel type you want to disable. Click the Save button to disable the code.

Delete

You can disable a fuel type provided it is not in use on any other tables in the system. If the code is in use on another table, you will not be able to delete it from the list.

To delete a fuel type that is not in use, click in the row of the code you want to delete to make it active. Click the Delete button (Red X) at the top of the frame. The selected row will turn red. Click the Save button to delete the fuel type from the system.
