Accident Types

The Accident Types frame allows you to create and maintain a list of Accident Type codes for use on the Accident Entry frame. These codes will be used to define the type of accident when entering accident details on the Accident Entry frame.

Create

To create a new Accident Type code, select the Type field of the first blank row on the table. Enter a new code.
The Type field has a limit of 10 characters (letters or numbers).

Enter a description. The Description field has a limit of 20 characters (letters or numbers). Select the SAVE button to add the new record to the Accident Types list.

Modify

The descriptions of existing Accident Types can be modified. To edit a description, select the description field next to the Accident Type and enter a new description. Select the SAVE button to update the record.

Disable

To disable an Accident Type, select the Disabled checkbox next to the code you want to disable. Select the SAVE button to disable the Accident Type.

Delete

You can delete an Accident Type provided it is not in use on any other tables in the system. If the code is in use, you will not be able to delete it from the list.

To delete a code that is not in use, select the row of the Accident Type you want to delete to make it active. Select the DELETE button (Red X) at the top of the frame. The selected row will turn red. Select the SAVE button to remove the accident type from the list.
