Availability Disposition Codes are one character codes assigned to Availability Status Codes for reporting purposes. You can create up to ten Availability Disposition Codes.
Codes 1 and 4 are hard coded in the system and cannot be changed. Many reports and query frames rely on these codes. The Description can be change, but 1 is normally ‘Available’ and 4 is ‘Offsite’.
Create
To create a new Availability Disposition Code, enter a single digit (0-9) and enter a description in the Description field. This field has a limit of 30 characters. Select the SAVE button at the top of the frame.
The new code will now be available for use on the Availability Status Codes frame.
Modify
You can modify the description of existing codes. To change a description, select the Description field and type the new description over the old one and select the SAVE button to update the record.
Disable
To disable a code, select the Disabled checkbox in the row of the Disposition Code you want to disable and select the SAVE button to disable the code.
Delete
You can delete a code provided it is not code 1 or 4 and also not in use on any other tables in the system.
To delete a code that is not in use, select the row of the code you want to delete to make it active. Select the DELETE button (Red X). The selected row will turn red. Select the SAVE button to delete the record from the system.
System Flags
5335 – Display Disposition Description on Unit Availability Query Frame? (Y/N) - If set to ‘N’, the frame will display the Disposition Code. If set to ‘Y’, the frame will display the Disposition Description.
