DAF Code Maintenance

The DAF Code Maintenance frame allows you to create Department Access Function (DAF) codes to limit or restrict access to certain frames at the Department Level. Once created, you can assign these codes to individual frames on Frame Maintenance.

For example you might want to setup a code to give read-only access to a certain Department Group on Work Order Main.

Create

To create a new DAF code, click in the blank code field and enter a new code. This field has a limit of 30 characters. Enter a description for the code. This field has a limit of 30 characters.

When finished with the entry, click the Save button at the top of the frame. The new DAF code will now be available for use on the Dept Group/DAF Maintenance frame where you can set the level of access.

Modify

You can only modify the description of existing codes. To modify a description click in the description field and type the new description over the existing one. Click Save to update the record.

Disable

To disable a DAF code, check the Disabled flag in the row of the code you want to disable. Click the Save button to disable the code.

Delete

You can delete a code provided it is not in use on any other tables in the system. If the code is in use, you will not be able to delete it from the list.
