The Dept Group/DAF Maintenance frame allows you to set Owning Dept Access and Using Dept Access levels for each Department Group. The Departmental Access Function (DAF) codes are setup on the DAF Code Maintenance frame.
To set access levels, enter the Department Group or double click in the field to select one from the list of values (LOV).
The DAF Codes setup on DAF Code Maintenance display on the i-frame below the Department Group field. There are three access level options: None, Read Only, and Update. 'None' will block access entirely when placing the DAF Code on a frame. 'Read Only' will allow for accessing the frame but will restrict entering and editing any data. 'Update' allows for entering and editing of data.
Once you have selected the access levels, click the Save button at the top of the frame. You can now place the DAF Code(s) on specific frames on Frame Maintenance to restrict access for the Department Group.
