Equipment Types SKU

The Equipment Types SKU frame allows you to create and maintain codes to group equipment together by functionality and identify each piece of equipment with an asset number and description.

Create

To create a new equipment type, enter a new code in the Equipment Type field. This field has a limit of 30 characters (alphanumeric). Press tab or enter. You will receive a popup asking you to confirm you want to create the new Equipment Type. Click Create to confirm the action. Enter a description for the new type. This field has a limit of 30 characters (alphanumeric).

In the section below, enter as many SKU numbers as necessary. The "Stock Keeping Unit" (SKU) number on equipment is the manufacturer-specific number for the type of equipment. This field and the Description field have a limit of 30 characters (alphanumeric).

Check the Serial flag to require a serial number for a piece of equipment on Unit Main even when System Flag 1055 is set to 'N'.

Modify

To modify an existing Equipment Type, enter the type in the Equipment Type field or double click in the field to select one from the list of values (LOV). You can modify the description of the Equipment Type or any of the SKU's. When complete, click the Save button to update the record.

Disable

To disable an SKU, load the Equipment Type and check the Disabled flag in the row of the SKU you want to disable. Click Save to disable the SKU.

Delete

Provided they are not in use on any other tables in the system, you can delete an SKU or Equipment Type. If they are in use in the system, you will not be able to delete them from the list.

To delete an equipment type that is not in use, you must first delete all SKU's associated with the type. To delete an SKU, click in the row of the SKU you want to delete to make it active. Click the Delete button (Red X) at the top of the frame. The selected row will turn red. Click the Save button to delete the SKU.
