The Product Setup Employee frame gives you the ability to assign certain Products to Employees who are allowed to fuel Units via systems that require an Employee ID or PIN number. This functionality allows for an extra security level in situations where your organization needs to issue fuel products in a more restricted manner.
To add new products for an employee, enter the employee’s ID or double click in the Employee ID field to select one from the list of values (LOV). The employee’s name and status will populate automatically.
PIN Management tab
PIN Required – Check this box to require the employee enter their PIN when issuing fuel products.
ICU Supervisor – Check this box if the employee is an ICU Supervisor.
Unit Number Required – Check this box to restrict issuance of fuel products to only a certain unit by requiring the employee to enter the unit number at the ICU.
Restricted to Shift – Check this box to indicate that the employee is only authorized to issue fuel products during their shift hours.
Unit Number – Enter the unit number in this field that will be required if the ‘Unit Number Required” box is checked.
Product Information tab
This tab allows you to setup a list of Products to assign to the specific employee. To add a product, enter the product number or double click in the Product field to select one from the LOV. The description will populate automatically.
Card Information tab
The Cards tab allows you to setup Employee Cards for fueling purposes. You can also set up these cards on the Product Setup Fuel Cards frame. Any cards setup on the Product Setup Fuel Cards frame for the department will also display here. Once configured, these fuel cards can be used for fuel transactions at Island Control Units (ICUs).
Card No. – This field has a limit of 25 characters.
Effective Date – Effective Date for the department fuel card.
Expiration Date – Date the department fuel card expires.
Vendor No. – Must be a valid vendor number on Vendor Main.
Pin – Card PIN number, limit of four characters (to be used at ICU).
Prompt ID – Limit of 10 characters.
Card Notes – Click the Card Notes icon to add any additional information about the card.
