The Edit Dashboard Page gives you the ability to design and configure the elements of your Operational Dashboard screen. The proper security privilege is required in order to make these changes. See your Dashboard Administrator if you need this privilege granted.
To view or modify an existing Dashboard, enter the User name of the Dashboard user and press tab. Then, select from the list of existing dashboards. The KPIs for the dashboard will display below. Each dashboard may have a maximum of six KPIs.
You may modify the fields in white for Title, Scale Minimum and Maximum, Alarm trigger, and Chart Type. To add a new KPI to the dashboard go to the last empty row and enter or select a new KPI. Complete all of its configuration fields. Both standard KPI's and OPM's are listed but only the standard KPI's are configurable.
NOTE: do not use the -- value in your KPI SQL statements to comment out sections. This symbol will cause a problem where the rest of the statement is commented as well.
You may also disable an existing KPI if desired. To delete a dashboard, you must first remove all KPIs. Select the KPI row and click on delete. After you delete the last KPI the system will delete the dashboard.
To create a new Dashboard, enter the User name of the Dashboard user and press tab. Then, click on the Create New Dashboard button. Enter the new Dashboard name, up to 30 alphanumeric characters.
Next, enter or select the KPI to add and configure Title, Scale Minimum and Maximum, Alarm trigger, Size and Chart Type. Under the SQL Values you will specify the values for your KPI variables. For example, if your KPI has a variable called Location enter the appropriate location code next to the red Location field.
