Printer Assignment

The Printer Assignment screen allows you to identify the specific printer used for printing the different report types for each Application User. You must first create the printers on the Printer Definition screen and then add them to the Printer Group assigned to the Application User Role.

 

To assign printers for an Application User, enter the Application Username in the User Information or double click in the field to select one from the list of values (LOV). There are nine different Print Types (Default, Work Order, Motor Pool Ticket, Motor Pool Invoice, Put Tickets, Count Sheets, Purchase Order, Cost Detail Report, and Bar Codes). At a minimum, it is recommended to at least assign a Default printer.

 

Check the 'Prompt at Run Time' box if you want M5 to prompt the user when the printing is ready. You can assign the specific printers in the Printer Code field. Only valid printers from the User Role's assigned Printer Group will display in the LOV for this field.

 

When finished, click the 'Save' button to assign the printers to the Application User.
