The Assignment Type frame is another code frame that is user defined and can be used to further define Unit Operator Assignments.
The Unit Operator Assignment frame is accessed by using the Operator Assignment Query frame.
If System Flag 2081 is set to ‘Y’, Assignment Type codes will be required on Unit Operator Assignments.
Refer to Assignment Code.
Create
To create a new Assignment Type, select the Assignment Type field of the first blank row in the i-frame.
Enter a new Assignment Type code. For example, Assignment Type could be something like ‘Long Term’ or ‘Short Term’ .
In the Show Which Address dropdown menu, select the location address you want to show on Unit Operator Assignment: Employee, Using Department Delivery, or Parking Location.
Select ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ from the next dropdown to indicate if the assignment type will be Unique for Only 1 Person. After complete, select the SAVE button at the top of the frame.
Modify
You can modify the values in the two dropdown menus for Assignment Type codes that have already been created. The Assignment Type code itself cannot be modified once created.
Disable
To disable an existing Assignment Type, select the Disabled checkbox in the row of the code you wish to disable. Select SAVE. The code will no longer be available for use on Unit Operator Assignments.
Delete
You can only delete an existing Assignment Type if the Assignment Type is not in use anywhere in the system, otherwise you cannot delete it.
If the Assignment Type is not in use and you want to delete it, select the row of the type you want to delete to make it active. Select the DELETE button at the top of the frame. The selected row will turn red.
Select the SAVE button. The row will be removed from the list and will no longer exist in the system.
System Flags
2081 – Assignment Type Required on Unit Operator Assignments? (Y/N) – If this flag is set to ‘Y’, the user must enter a valid Assignment Type on Unit Operator Assignments.
