Equipment Conditions

The Equipment Conditions frame allows you to create and maintain codes to identify the condition of various pieces of equipment.

This allows you to manage the equipment throughout its life cycle and ensure they are kept in a safe and usable condition. These are user-define codes, but some common examples are: New, Good, Fair, and Poor.

Create

To create a new Equipment Condition code, click in the blank Code field and type in a new code. This field has a limit of six characters. Enter a description for the new Equipment Condition. This field has a limit of 20 characters.

Check the Disallow Check Out flag if you want to stop users from checking out a piece of equipment in this condition on the Equipment Check Out frame.

You can also designate a Job Code, Job Reason, and Job Priority for Work Orders opened on the equipment with this condition code.

If the Disallow Check Out flag is checked and a Job Code and Job Reason are entered, when that condition is entered on Equipment Check In, a Work Request is generated so the equipment can be inspected or repaired.

Once complete, click the Save button at the top of the frame. You can now enter the new code on Unit Main and Equipment Check In.

Modify

To modify an existing Equipment Condition code, enter a new description or change the Disallow Check Out flag. You can also edit the job information. Once all changes are made, click the Save button to update the record.

Disable

To disable an Equipment Condition code, check the disabled flag in the row of the code you want disable. Click Save to disable the code.

Delete

You can delete an Equipment Condition provided it is not in use on any other tables in the system. If the code is in use you will not be able to delete it from the system.

To delete a code that is not in use, click in the row of the code you want to delete to make it active. Click the Delete button (Red X) at the top of the frame. The selected row will turn red. Click Save to delete the record.
