Equipment Request
The Equipment Request frame
allows you to create a request in the system to use a particular type
of equipment. The system assigns a number to each request so that you
can manage the pickup and return of the piece of equipment.
How to Create a New Request
- Select the New Equipment Request
button to the right of the Request
# field. The Request #
field populates NEW. The
system will generate a request number after you enter the required
information.
- Enter the Request Employee No of the employee making the equipment
request, must be a valid employee from Employee
Main. This is a required field.
- Enter the From Location of
the check out location for the equipment, must be a valid location
from Location
Main. This is a required field.
- From the To dropdown you
can designate who or what the request is for. Select from Department,
Employee, Location,
Unit, Work
Order,or Direct
Account. The field to the right is where you would enter the specific
code (for example, location or department number).
- Enter the following information on the Equipment
Requests i-frame.
- Equipment Type - Enter
of select a valid equipment type. These types are created and maintained
on the Equipment Types SKU frame.
- SKU - Must be a valid SKU
for the equipment type selection.
- Qty - The quantity for
the equipment request.
- Pick Up By - Employee who
will pickup the equipment.
- Est Check Out - Estimated
check out date. This date cannot be after the estimated return date.
- Est Return - Estimated
return/check in date. This date cannot be before the estimated check
out date.
- Status - Select OPEN OR
CLOSED from the dropdown. For new requests the status is OPEN.
- Status Date - The status
date will default to the current date.
- Notes - You can enter notes
for each record on the request. These notes will be viewable on the
Equipment Check Out frame.
- Select SAVE when completed.
Notifications
The EQUIPMENT REQUEST CREATED notification
is sent when a user creates a new Equipment Request. The notification
is available on the Notification Manager
frame or on Location Main (Notifications)
when Location
is set on the Notification Manager
frame.
