The Product Setup Department frame allows you to create and maintain a list of consumable products used by units assigned to the department.
Setup Products
To setup products for a department, enter the department number from Department Main or double click in the field to select one from the List of Values (LOV).
Employee Required – Check box used to indicate if the employee will be required on issues from the Product Issue Inventory screen, Product Issue Unit screen, Product Issue Reject screen and Work Order Fluid Charge on Work Order Main screen, Part tab.
Validate Employee – Check this box to validate the employee number entered when fuel is issued.
Products
The Product tab provides two options for setting up products for the Department. Manual and Copy from Tech Spec.
Manual – The Manual radio button will be the default. This will allow you to manually setup the products for the department.
To manually add products, enter a valid product number from Product Main or double click in the Product field to select one from the list of values. You can enter the Tank Capacity, Transfer Location, Transfer Tank No., Max Daily Fuelings, and Max Daily Qty. fields. Click save when finished.
Copy from Tech Spec – Click the Tech Spec radio button to copy from an existing Tech Spec. Any products setup on the Product tab of Tech Spec main will appear in the right column. Click the << button to move them over and copy them to the Dept Products column. Click save when finished.
Cards
The Cards tab allows you to setup Department Cards for fueling purposes. You can also set up these cards on the Product Setup Fuel Cards frame. Any cards setup on the Product Setup Fuel Cards frame for the department will also display here. Once configured, these fuel cards can be used for fuel transactions at Island Control Units (ICUs).
Card No. – This field has a limit of 25 characters.
Effective Date – Effective Date for the department fuel card.
Expiration Date – Date the department fuel card expires.
Vendor No. – Must be a valid vendor number on Vendor Main.
Pin – Card PIN number, limit of four characters (to be used at ICU).
Prompt ID – Limit of 10 characters.
Card Notes – Click the Card Notes icon to add any additional information about the card.
To disable an existing card, select ‘Yes’ from the Disable Card drop down at the end of the row. Click save to update the record and disable the card.
You can delete an existing card by clicking in the row to make it active. This activates the delete function. Click the Delete button (Red X) at the top of the frame. The selected row will turn red. Click save to delete the record.
